Our Hunting Territory
Our fishing and hunting Territory encompasses about 2000 square kilometers of Wild Omineca Country. The elevation ranges from 700 to 2000 meters. It is heavily timbered and dotted with many lakes and beaver swamps. In some parts of our territory there has been logging activities for about 3o years .About two-thirds of our area is virgin timber but old logging roads and clear-cuts provide great hunting and habitat. In it's natural state the "Bush" (virgin timber) is almost impossible to hunt or even reach. Although the virgin timber is a quiet reserve, it is the old logging roads and clear-cuts that provide open spaces for new plants to grow which are food for our game. Berries and Grasses for Bears. Young shoots in the Spring, Willow, Alder and Red Osier in the winter for Moose.
